HOW IT WORKS

The closing ceremony plays each tier's whole knockout — who played who, who went through, the champion's route traced through it — climbing to the Cup, then the podium and sponsors, on a loop.

Tap a tier in the live panel as you read its winners out and every screen crowns them, plays their map, and rejoins the loop before the next name — with a speed dial that starts slow and tightens each replay.

TV, court and wall displays show a team's full name instead of its abbreviation, sized to wrap rather than clip — a parent thirty feet back can find their pair.

A knockout with no third-place match ends with two beaten semi-finalists, and the podium now shows both — the way badminton has always awarded them.

The set in progress shows its own score — big digits on the TVs and court screens, a live term on the bracket and fixture lines — instead of every board sitting on the set count.

The point cap can be lifted before or during a match — tap it at 29-all and the rest of the match runs until a side leads by two, however long that takes.

An official's match panel now opens on the three things they actually need: who serves to whom and from which court, the two team halves — which ARE the buttons, one tap for the side that won the rally — and one UNDO. The timer, the stat buttons, the walkover forms and the events list moved into closed sections underneath. On a badminton court the big button used to add a GAME rather than a point, so adding a point asked the umpire to close out the game; it now adds the rally point, and the app asks about the game itself once the target is reached. Each sport also carries a written umpire's guide, shown when an official picks their court and reachable again from the match panel.

The umpire's panel names the set in progress above the two halves — SET 3 · TO 21 — with a pill for each set already played, carrying its score at a size you can read at arm's length. The pills are buttons: tap one to reopen its score and fix the 21-19 that went in for the wrong side. Badminton also stopped asking who scored: the sport records who served and who received, never a scorer, so a logged set no longer counts as an event missing a player and the finalize nudge stays quiet. The tally itself is set in a face whose zero is a zero — the display font drew it as a filled block at scoreboard size — and the side trailing 0-20 is no longer told it has set point.

Text size zoom divides the screen, so at the shipped setting a 390px handset was laying itself out in 304px and the four-button event rows ran off the right edge. Narrow screens now step the scale back so the layout fits first, the panel sizes itself from the viewport rather than fixed pixels, and a team name gets the full width instead of breaking into "Shut tle Warr iors". The header no longer drags the page sideways either: the court and tournament truncate to fit, and switching court, editing your profile and logging out moved into a ⋮ menu with log out on its own behind a divider. The coin toss also spins a coin now and names the winner on screen, rather than a name quietly appearing next to HOME.

The shared live link stopped being a standings table. It now carries tabs for the group tables, every fixture of the day with its court and time, a board per court showing what is on it right now and what follows, and the tier walls or knockout bracket as they fill in — with each tab on its own URL so "here's the schedule" opens the schedule. The tabs a tournament gets come from its own format, so nothing opens onto an empty panel, and the whole day is readable from the planned schedule before a single match is generated.

The interface ships a notch larger than it used to, and the theme menu now has a TEXT SIZE row: S, M, L, XL. It scales every page together — labels, buttons, inputs, spacing and all — so a Command Center read from across an ops table is as legible as one read from a chair, and the choice sticks on that device. TV screens are left alone; they already size themselves to the room.

Badminton umpires answer one question per set — who served the opening rally and who received it — and the console keeps the serve from there: the rally winner serves next, an even score serves from the right court and an odd score from the left, and a pair swaps courts only after winning its own serve. The strip names the player, so nobody has to hold it in their head between rallies, and it flags the decider's change of ends.

Print a pad of umpire sheets for the entire day before it starts: one match per A4 or A5 page, matchups filled in where they are knowable and their lineage ("Winner of CUP QF1") where they are not. Tick which rounds and tiers to print and set the sets, points and cap for that run, so the group pad and the Cup pad come off the same page at their own numbers. Each game is a ruled-off block with its own opening-serve boxes and a strike-off number grid that counts points without any arithmetic, plus write-in lines for player names and a notes box for the official.

Every group laid out as a card with its teams, a name you choose instead of a bare letter, a dropdown that moves a team to another group, and one-click snake or random reseeding — group membership was written once when the tournament started and shown nowhere until now.

Paste a group list ("A: Team One, Team Two") or the whole day plan out of Excel — from a schedule it reads the groups back out of the pairings, since two teams meet in the group stage only if they share a group. It writes membership only, then generates the tournament from your partition and shows exactly where its schedule differs from your printed one.

Teams sitting a round out no longer appear as fixtures marked DONE on the wall schedule, the match list, TV or a team's own page — the round is simply not theirs, and the word "bye" is gone from the product.

Tiered events finally render their group tables on the live cockpit, every position labelled with the tier it leads to — the panel used to hold nothing at all because it only knew two of the group formats.

Tiered Groups plans every wave, court and time from configuration alone, so once the groups are set the entire group stage is printable with real team names and the knockout rows carry the position labels that fill them — no need to start the tournament to put the schedule on the wall.

Badminton has two breaks an umpire has to remember — 60 seconds the first time a side reaches the interval score, and 2 minutes between sets. Both now appear as a START button on the serve card at the moment they fall due, start the clock for real, and open the timer so you can see it run; the interval cue stays up until it is taken rather than flashing past on one rally.

At 11–0 in a set to 11 the card still read SET POINT, because one more rally would also win it — so the label an umpire stares at while deciding whether to keep tapping never changed. It reads ✓ SET WON the moment the score already decides it, and the winning number in each finished-set pill is the only one set bright and underscored, so who took the set survives any colour a team picked.

The display face draws its zero as a slashed block, so a 0–0 on the TV board and the court screen read as Ø–Ø from across a sports hall. Every big number in the app — umpire panel, court board, TV board — now uses the face with an open zero, at the weight the scoreboard needs.

Choosing Badminton now seeds its points system (2 for a win, 0 for a loss), its BWF tiebreaker cascade, its 2–0 walkover score and a court venue — instead of leaving football's 3-1-0, football's tiebreakers and a PS5/Xbox picker on a shuttle tournament. The check that decided whether you'd customised a setting was comparing JSON key order, which the database does not preserve, so it always answered 'leave it alone'.

Badminton and table tennis now say SET on every screen and on the printed scoresheet — SET 3, 2 SETS WON, SET POINT — instead of mixing “game” with the S1/S2/S3 period bar underneath it, so nobody has to work out whether “which game are we in” means the set or the match.

When a set ends, the umpire's panel names the side that won it and says so — BWF gives them the first serve of the next set — with that side pre-highlighted in the picker and the other side still one tap away, so the rule of thumb never overrules the official who watched the rally.

A 2–1 says who won; 21–18, 19–21, 21–15 says what happened — so the set breakdown now sits under the score on the umpire's panel, the fixture list, both brackets, the public schedule and courts tabs, recent results, and both team pages, mirrored to whichever side you are reading from.

The referee console counts GAMES, so a 2–1 win is recorded as a 2–1 win — not as the rally total, which can read 27–29 to the pair that actually won. Each game's rally score is captured as the game is logged and totalled onto the match, so points-difference tiebreakers and the court display both have real numbers behind them.

Tiered Groups can pair each group with its mirror inside its own rest block — A v D, B v C, E v H, F v G — so both sides of every opening knockout match finished their group in the same wave, a group's two qualifiers land in opposite halves, and the full bracket sheet can be published to teams before a single shuttle is hit.

Standings can separate level teams the way a racket-sport rulebook actually reads: head-to-head only when exactly two are level (three or more skip it, because the results can cycle), then games difference, fewest games lost, rally-point difference and fewest rally points lost.

Every tournament sub-page now carries a persistent tab bar (Live · Command · Setup · Teams · Officials · Event · Sponsors · Schedule · Settings) — the printable Schedule page is finally reachable, Command works before go-live, and Live Control gets first-class BROADCAST and FRIENDLY buttons, a TIERS tab showing the same tier wall as the TV, and a running-late chip.

Create a one-off match between any two teams mid-tournament and choose whether it counts: full standings weight, or FRIENDLY — refereed, scored and recorded like any match but with zero effect on standings, tiers, brackets, player stat leaderboards or points charts, and it never blocks advancing the round.

On sets sports the referee chooses per match what the game is played to and the win-by-2 ceiling (badminton: 21/cap 30, 15/cap 21, 11/cap 15) — shown on the referee console and the court display so players always know the protocol.

When the day runs late (or early), the times on the TV up-next board, referee queue and team dashboards shift with it — anchored on actual match completions, with a 'RUNNING +18m' chip so nobody trusts a stale printout.

In Tiered Groups the next wave's matches don't depend on the one still running, so organizers can open them early and free courts fill immediately instead of idling behind one slow game — blocked only where the tier draw genuinely needs every group table final.

Setup states the minimum courts for a one-sitting timeline and no longer refuses fewer — group waves split into sittings, the printed schedule stretches honestly, and the picker shows exactly what the trade-off costs.

During a tiered group stage the TV standings rotation shows eight small group tables with each position coloured by the tier it feeds — never one flat table that compares teams across groups the format itself refuses to compare.

Tiered events get their own broadcast layer: every tier's bracket stacked on one screen with the overall places it owns, a drill-in that zooms whichever tier is live, wave results that play as one act per tier ending in that tier's crowning, and a single-match takeover for the showcase final.

Each paired TV can rotate at its own speed — Brisk for a busy hall, Slow for reading at distance — set from the Command Center, while cutscenes and announcements still fire simultaneously on every screen so the room never disagrees with itself.

New format where the group stage sorts rather than eliminates: all group winners meet in the top tier, all runners-up in the next, down to last place, with the tiers running in parallel on the same courts and a hard no-back-to-back rule that guarantees every team a full slot of rest between matches.

Every surface sharpened on shared theme-aware shells — new welcome hero, broadcast-style spectator headers, framed login screens, glowing TV shells — plus a new Contrast Mix preset, a smarter custom-theme studio with live WCAG contrast checks, and app-wide keyboard-focus and reduced-motion support.

All destructive and high-stakes actions (undo round, delete event, replace teams…) now confirm through a branded in-app dialog — red for destructive, ESC to cancel, Enter to confirm — instead of the browser's grey popup.

The printable QR cards page now includes one poster per court — tape it courtside and anyone who scans it lands on that court's live scoreboard with game-by-game scores and what's up next.

The announcement page now counts down in ticking day/hour/minute/second tiles that scale with the screen they're on — phone in a hand, laptop, or a hall projector — laying its detail cards out in two columns on anything laptop-sized, and every theme colour is hand-editable right there on the event page instead of only being guessable from the poster.

Registration closing, entry fee due, squad lists in, jersey numbers — add as many dated cut-offs as your event has, and the public page lists each with the days left beside it, turning amber inside three days and greying out once it's passed.

The organizer block on the public page is now a named person with tap-to-call and tap-to-email rows and social chips that all clear the 44px touch minimum, instead of a name, a number and a link crammed into one line of 12px text.

Create a tournament with just a name and publish a landing page the same day: poster, dates, venue and map, a registration link, a WhatsApp group link, prizes and entry fees, rulebook and Drive links, contact details and a UPI payment QR — and the poster's colours become your public theme in one click. The link is the same one that turns into the live leaderboard on match day.

When a round closes the admin presses Play results and every screen plays the moment at once — winners flare and advance through the bracket while beaten teams grey out, and in Swiss or round-robin the results wall dissolves into the standings re-sorting itself.

Knockout tournaments now rotate a full bracket panel onto the projector between standings and top scorers, at projector type sizes, so spectators can see the whole path to the final without asking anyone.

The conduct section now speaks the sport's language — badminton gets a walkover score in games (2–0) and a no-show grace clock instead of forfeit goals and pauses-per-half — and both consoles offer no-show / not-on-court / retired / disqualified reasons, where a retirement keeps the score as it stood.

Setup no longer lists six platforms side by side. Pick Digital or Physical first, then choose from that world's list — PS5, Xbox, PC, Online for digital; court, field, table for physical — with a Custom option that opens a name box only when you need one.

Append a loser-cascade to any running tournament: everyone who loses drops to the branch of teams with the identical W-L sequence, you choose how many rounds each losing branch keeps playing (or stop any branch live), and the opening draw is hand-swappable before you commit it.

One ops screen for running the day: a time × court timeline you drag matches around (with START NOW when a court frees up early), live branch control for cascade stages, and every paired TV in the room — pin a section, point it at a court, black it out, or fire an overlay.

Open the TV page on any display and it shows a 4-character pairing code — name it once in the Command Center and you control what that specific screen shows for the rest of the event.

New format where losers drop into placement pools instead of out: identical records meet every round (W-W-L plays W-W-L) until every place from 1st to last is decided — with a live placement-bracket panel showing every pool.

Every court gets its own fullscreen scoreboard at /tv/<tournament>/court/<n> — big live score, game-by-game breakdown for sets sports, up-next on that court, and a toggleable strip of all other courts.

Full badminton support: singles or doubles with a hard 2-player roster cap, classic 3×21 or the new BWF 3×15 scoring (official from Jan 2027) via rule knobs, badminton points (2/0, bye 2) and BWF-style tiebreakers — the first sport certified on the rebuilt engine.

Groups + Knockout and Conferences + Playoffs return to setup, now ranked by the bracket itself: the final winner is #1 and the podium follows the knockout, not accumulated points.

Tournament setup offers only options certified end-to-end on the rebuilt format engines — all four formats now qualify; EA FC remains the certified sport while the others are re-certified one by one.

Superusers can flip the dashboard into select mode — tick any set of tournaments (or select all matching the current search/filter) and delete them or transfer their ownership to another organizer in one action.

Login, the tournament dashboard, and the setup form are redesigned in an angular esports-HUD style: a split-screen login gate, a command deck with telemetry and phase-colored live rails, and a mission-briefing setup with a progress rail — same flows, same themes, new skin.

The tournament dashboard now has instant search (press /), lifecycle tabs with counts, organizer chips and filtering, activity-first sorting with time shelves, and a collapsed dormant shelf for tournaments idle 14+ days.

Opening another organizer's tournament now asks superusers to choose Overlook (read-only, writes blocked server-side) or Edit (full control, logged) — so overseeing everything can't accidentally disturb a running event.

New tournaments now force a deliberate format pick before the rest of the setup unlocks. The form hides bye-mode for non-Swiss formats, auto-collapses subs for 1v1 or full-roster squads, and folds eFootball into the EA FC preset so the sport picker stops asking the same question twice.

Tournament owners can generate shareable invite links for collaborators. Recipients sign in with Google and accept in one click — they appear instantly on the owner's /profile Co-admin tab with the correct role.

Owners can hand off a tournament to any existing co-admin. Both roles swap atomically — the former owner becomes Co-Admin and the new owner takes full control.

Pick a sport, choose team count, and select a format — Arena recommends which formats actually work and pre-fills smart defaults. Done in under 2 minutes, then jump straight to team registration.

New tournament format: every team plays every other team. Full fixture is pre-generated at start and visible to admin immediately. Admin advances rounds one by one.

arena.mohibx.com loads the video-backed public landing + live tournament directory by default. The old role-picker hub moved to /portal; /welcome 308-redirects here for stale links.

Your account now has a cross-tournament home at /profile with five tabs — Organizing, Co-admin, Refereeing, Watching, Player — plus a lifetime tally strip. One identity wears every hat, with editable display name and avatar URL.

Signed-in spectators see a Follow pill in the corner of any /live page. Followed tournaments collect under /profile → Watching so you can come back to them. Not signed in yet? The pill links straight to Google sign-in.

Volleyball, paddle, and table tennis matches now show a per-set score breakdown (e.g. 3–1 with 25-18, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23) on the referee console, TV broadcast, and spectator leaderboard.

arena.mohibx.com gets a video-backed landing with a top-bar Google sign-in and a live directory of every tournament organizers have flipped to public — live action surfaces at the top.

Owners can flip a tournament between Private (link-only) and Public (listed on the public landing directory) from the settings page. Default stays private — no existing tournament becomes public until the owner explicitly opts in.

Football referees can stamp each logged event with its period (1H, HT, 2H, ET1, ET2, PEN). The period bar only appears for sports with a halves-based clock; EAFC and other point-based sports are unaffected. Period chips appear in the event log.

Admin can designate head referee, assistant referee, VAR, and fourth-official roles per tournament, and assign assistant referees to specific matches. The TV view shows 'Officiated by [Name]' on each live match card.

Prospects can now switch between EAFC, Football, Basketball, and Rocket League in the interactive demo — each sport shows its own event types, period bar, and score label without touching match state.

Real-world football joins the sport registry alongside EAFC/FIFA. Positions (GK/DEF/MID/FWD), real events (corner, free kick, penalty shootout, sub, offside), card-accumulation defaults, and full halves+extra-time+stoppage match-clock model. Variants live as config knobs (5v5 / 7v7 / 11v11 / futsal).

Every behavior — wall clock, card accumulation, halves, suspensions, sub limits, even whether the player picker is mandatory — is a toggle in Setup → Rules with a sensible default per sport. Beginners ship on defaults; power users tune.

Landing-page How-It-Works stays generic. Each sport gets its own deep-dive at /how-it-works/[sport] showing only that sport's events, positions, clock, and rule knobs. Cricket organizers don't have to scroll past football's card system.

Schema seeds for the companion auction app (auction.mohibx.com): cross-app player IDs, auction metadata on players, team auction wallets, tournament→auction link. Bidding stays in the auction app; ARENA is a clean integration target.

Sport-aware position field on every player (GK/DEF/MID/FWD for football). Position chip renders next to the player name in pickers and leaderboards; sports without positions hide the dropdown automatically.

Anyone with a Google account can now create their own tournament workspace. New signups land as tenant-scoped admins who only see what they create or are invited to. Existing username/password admins keep working in parallel.

Tournaments now have an owner, and the dashboard only shows tournaments you own or were invited to. Superusers still see everything; the legacy single-admin behavior is preserved by giving the original admin global scope.

Setup now starts with sport, default platform (PS5/Xbox/PC/online/court/table or custom text), roster size, side size (1v1, 2v2, NvN), and max subs — every dimension is independent and stored alongside the tournament config.

Every tournament picks its sport — FIFA/EAFC, eFootball, Rocket League, Valorant, basketball, or custom — and the referee console adapts: event types, score deltas, and player picker all change with the sport.

MOTM was a football-only event that cluttered the referee console without driving meaningful behavior. It's gone from the FIFA preset and every UI surface; sports that have an MVP-style event keep theirs (Rocket League, Valorant, basketball).

Score in one tap: +N opens a roster picker so the scorer is attributed instantly, or hit SKIP to backfill later. Every event type gets the same +/− T1/T2 grid; remove a wrong tap with one click.

Refs can log goals and cards without picking a player during a fast-paced match; pending events highlight in the events list and a counter nudges them to attribute before finalizing. Every chip is editable.

Multiple organizers share the platform — each one only sees their own tournaments, teams, and referees.

One-click delete + regenerate the current round when pairings come out wrong (only when no matches have started).
